WARRIORS

I was a Production Assistant during the 2018-19 season for the Golden State Warriors. Despite my proximity to the defending NBA champions, it was not a glamorous role, but I relished being part of the organization, developing relationships within Warriors Studio, working in Downtown Oakland, and learning more about a franchise I love and grew up cheering for.

Below are some of the projects I worked on.

Women’s Empowerment Month

This edit was for Women’s Empowerment Month and Warriors Youth Camps that features 2x Olympic Gold Medalist Ruthie Bolton. To borrow a phrase from Bolton, “I ain’t got nothing against boys, but I love it when it’s just girls.”

On This Day In Warriors History

This edit played on the jumbotron in Oracle Arena on February 2nd during a game against the Lakers. I was delighted to work on it because it awarded me the opportunity to learn about Manute Bol, his fascinating life and career, and his place in both Warriors and NBA history.

DeMarcus Cousins Hype Video

This edit was created for the jumbotron for an in-game situation where DeMarcus Cousins had an exciting moment, great play, or big game. What I loved about working with footage of Cousins in particular is that his play on the court was always elevated by his facial expressions, and I made it a point to incorporate those looks into this edit.

My Warriors Farewell

One of the most memorable moments working for the Dubs was actually my last day, which happened to be the last regular season game at Oracle Arena. My first priority was to do my job as an on-court utility, but I also wanted to take in and savor that moment. Standing on the court when the team revealed their We Believe uniforms, in front of the raucous East Bay crowd, is something I’ll remember forever.
